Gambling, Cute Girls, And Big tummies! WITH FRIENDS!

Quimbly Blackjack is Team Quimbly's first attempt at a multiplayer belly game. Challenge your friends to see who's a lucky duck and who gets fed to unbelievable sizes!

How to play

Every round, a random number between 1 and 1,000 is generated—this becomes the round's value. The winner of the round is awarded that amount in chips.

Blackjack rounds start with each player receiving 2 cards. The goal is to get your hand's total value as close to 21 as possible without exceeding it. On your turn, you can choose to "hit" (draw another card—be careful not to bust!) or "stand" (lock in your current total). The player closest to 21 without going over wins the round and claims the chips.

Chips can be spent in the shop on items like food (to feed your opponent) or power-ups (to boost yourself or sabotage your foe). The game ends when your belly grows so large that you can no longer see your cards!

How to Network

One player hosts, the other joins.

To Host: Select "Host" from the menu and click "Generate Join Code." A unique code will appear on screen—share it with your friend!

To Join: They select "Join," enter the code (case-sensitive!), and hit "Join."

Would inflation be an option in the future for those not really into stuffing?

Could be, I do quite like inflation, I don't really know too much of what I plan for the future of this game aside from more abilities.

i see the potential in this. i'm not sure how you should flesh it out, but hopefully there's more content because i love blackjack...

(+2)

cool game, music is ASS though

(+2)

at first I didn't read the name and I was like "THIS DICKHEAD" hahahahha

ok no just no needs single player I'm  not playing this with somebody else I'll wait until I can play by myself this makes me really uncomfortable to know that somebody is on the other side doing you know what and I have no friends that would be willing to play something like this with I don't mean to be rude about it but this honestly sucks as I have no way to login on another account just to play by myself I'm sorry I would love to play as I love your games but until there's single player this is a no for me. insert sad face because I'm typing this on PC.

feel free to open 2 instances of the game, in windowed mode. Then you can play it by yourself.

(+2)

oh I didn't think about that sorry.

(+1)

No worries, please enjoy.

(+1)

Ok but still we need one player mode

(+1)

No single player? 😢

(+1)

Welp, I have to run 2 instances of quimbly blackjack in order to play.

There's almost no indication of when you successfully click on the cake or power up to know that you used it except for a sound cue that is drowned out by the music. And the chip count doesn't go down until your turn ends. And the volume setting gets reset every time a game ends.

The multiplayer works fine, though. I played with a friend on the Linux build and we were worried they wouldn't connect, but it worked fine. I'm eager to see more, like maybe some art for the win/lose screen of the winner gloating over the loser, or even some other expansion possibilities.

Thank you for your report, I'll look into it for future builds, I want to do a revamp where I add a buncha new animations and whatnot. But Main Quimbly is going to be taking up my focus for the near future.

I also do want to work on this when I have more free time and I'd love to add more art like that!

My full plan way down the line would be to have a free version and a paid version that can play together but the full version gets like a fuck ton more characters to choose from :). Perhaps a breast expansion thing :0 Or a weight gain one? I dunno the world is your oyster haha.

(+1)

Weight gain would be amazing. And maybe more size stages so the game can go on longer and, y'know... bigger.

(+3)

Any chance of a solo version? I could just be blind, but this is the first time I've heard this is a MP game, and I just assumed it would be singleplayer because Blackjack is quite famously a very singleplayer casino game.

Hmm maybe but probably not for awhile, just because I built this whole thing as a test for myself as I wanted to learn multiplayer networking. So it kind of defeats the point of why I wanted to start it in the first place. But if you're just interested in the sprites and whatnot you can just start 2 instances of the game and play with yourself.

The game crashes when trying to do it by yourself

How should I buy things in a store?

Click on the text of the item to purchase them. It will play an audio to let you know you paid. The chips don't actually update until the next turn so I'll work on that in the future.

(+11)

Will there be or is there an option for playing solo?

(+2)

God I hope so. I heard about this game a few times up until now but didn't know it was MP, and I just logged into my PC like 2 minutes ago to find out it's MP only, despite Blackjack being an almost-exclusively singleplayer game IRL and digitally.

Great, now I need to find a friend from commune. xD
